Kate was born in Cornwall and has spent most of her life there; it's home. With an Iranian father and British mother, Kate has been surrounded by international flavours throughout her life, and naturally brings this variety and originality to her cooking.
Following a number of years in London where Kate gained valuable training in the hospitality industry at Michelin starred level, she returned to Cornwall to get married and has chosen to settle here to raise her two daughters, Ava and Audrey, with her husband Will. In 2015 Kate hosted a number of supper club events from their home in Truro, showcasing Iranian food to Cornish audiences in an intimate and informal setting (check out the 'In the press' section).
2018 saw Kate apply and be accepted from over 3000 applicants, to appear on BBC1's Masterchef. Kate reached the Quarterfinals and was eventually sent home with some wonderful, positive feedback from John Torode and Gregg Wallace and having had the amazing privilege of cooking for, and impressing, the inimitable food critic and writer, Jay Rayner. The experience confirmed for Kate her enduring passion for the food industry and enjoyment of cooking and serving her food to others with love, great flavour and flair.
